SERVICE PLANS & PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE

Packaging Machine Service Plans & Preventative Maintenance

Structured maintenance agreements designed to protect equipment reliability, maintain performance and provide consistent engineering oversight across your packaging operation.

Two scheduled preventative service visits per year
Multi-brand engineer coverage
Documented service reporting & maintenance history
WHY SERVICING MATTERS

Prevent downtime before it starts

End-of-line packaging servicing

Small issues escalate fast

Minor wear and contamination at the end of the line quickly turn into downtime if left unchecked. Servicing catches problems before production feels them.

Signode ISB strapping head service

Signode ISB — caught in time

A heavily used ISB was running beyond its service window. A full strip, clean and reset restored stable operation the same day.

SIAT GT41 strapping head service

SIAT GT41 — weld quality protected

Plastic dust build-up affects feed and weld quality. Cleaning and targeted part replacement restored correct strap flow.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

What Happens During A Service Visit

Every visit follows a consistent checklist focused on real-world failure points — reducing unplanned downtime and keeping equipment reliable.

Mechanical Inspection

Key moving parts checked for wear, alignment and early signs of failure.

Electrical & Safety Checks

Sensors, switches, motors and safety circuits visually and functionally checked.

Machine-Specific Servicing

Focused attention on known weak points for your machine type and usage.

Cleaning & Adjustment

Build-up removed, lubrication applied correctly, settings returned to spec.

Operational Testing

Machine run under normal conditions to confirm stable, repeatable output.

Clear Feedback

Practical notes on condition, emerging risks and recommended next steps.

SERVICE PLAN LEVELS

Service levels built for real production environments

Before any agreement begins, we carry out an initial inspection visit to confirm machine condition and servicing suitability. We then recommend the right level of cover based on your equipment, usage and downtime risk. Options are available for pallet wrappers and strapping machines.

Initial inspection visit (before agreement start)

We confirm condition and recommend the most suitable plan level so reliability is built in from day one.

Planned Preventative Maintenance

Scheduled preventative servicing to maintain reliable, repeatable operation.

  • Two scheduled service visits per year (per covered machine)
  • Mechanical inspection, cleaning, lubrication and adjustment
  • Safety checks, functional testing and performance verification
  • Written service report with findings and recommendations
Best for: stable operations that want structured servicing and clear reporting.

Maintenance, Breakdown & Parts Cover

Maximum cost control with selected serviceable spare parts included within the agreed scope.

  • Everything in Maintenance + Breakdown Support
  • Included serviceable spare parts (agreed items)
  • Clear inclusions and exclusions, with approval on chargeable items
  • Improved repair speed and predictable maintenance spend
Best for: sites that want the highest level of predictability and control.

Optional enhancement: Integrated consumables supply

We can supply stretch film and strapping matched to your machines and application. Following an on-site review, consumables can be incorporated into a structured monthly supply plan based on usage.

We’ll confirm scope after the initial inspection visit and recommend the right level based on your equipment, usage and downtime risk.
COVERAGE CLARITY

What’s included — and what sits outside plan cover

Our service plans are built to protect reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. To keep cover fair and predictable, some items sit outside the standard scope and are handled as chargeable work (with approval).

Typically included

  • Scheduled preventative servicing as defined in your plan level
  • Mechanical inspection, cleaning, lubrication and adjustment
  • Safety checks, functional testing and performance verification
  • Service reporting with findings, risks and recommended next steps
  • Breakdown attendance and labour cover (where included in plan level)
  • Agreed serviceable spare parts (where included in plan level)

Final scope is confirmed after the initial inspection visit and documented in your agreement.

Normally outside scope

  • Damage caused by misuse, impact, or external interference
  • Consumables and packaging materials (unless added as a supply plan)
  • Major components and assemblies not classed as serviceable items
  • Non-standard modifications or retrofit work not pre-agreed
  • Out-of-hours attendance (unless explicitly agreed)

If chargeable work is needed, we’ll explain the reason, confirm options and obtain approval before proceeding.

FLEET SUPPORT

Support that scales across machines, lines and sites

If you run multiple machines or operate across more than one location, a service plan needs more than a visit schedule. We help you standardise maintenance, track condition over time, and prioritise work based on real operational risk.

  • Consistent service standards across pallet wrappers and strapping equipment
  • Multi-brand support — one engineering partner across mixed fleets
  • Condition-based recommendations to reduce repeat faults and wasted call-outs
  • Planned scheduling that fits production patterns and access windows
  • Clear visit reporting and documented service history for each machine

How we approach fleet reliability

Initial inspection to confirm suitability and establish a baseline.
Service schedule set by usage, environment and downtime impact.
Repeatable checklist covering mechanical, safety and performance checks.
Actionable reporting with risks, priorities and next-step recommendations.
Built for operations that need predictable reliability, not reactive scrambling.

One short form. We’ll route it to the right engineer internally.
What happens next
  • We review your details and confirm the best servicing approach for your equipment.
  • If needed, we’ll ask 1–2 quick questions to firm up scope and site requirements.
  • We recommend next steps — inspection visit, service plan level, or planned support actions.
Built for reliability and predictable upkeep — without disruption.
