PET Strapping - Preview

Consumables  ›  Polyester strapping

Polyester (PET) strapping for packaging machines.

Machine strap for medium-to-heavy loads where break strength and retained tension matter more than they do with PP. Sourced to spec and matched to your machine by the engineers who service it.

PET vs PP

When to choose PET over PP.

PET is the right call when break strength and retained tension decide whether the load holds.

Lighter loads or high-volume box closing? PP is usually the better, cheaper fit. See our strapping range →

Heavier or rigid loadsPP would deform under the tension needed to hold them.
Sharp edges or cornersProducts that would cut through a lighter strap.
Long transit or settling loadsLoads that settle or shrink, where the strap must hold tension over time.
Higher retained tensionMore initial and retained tension than PP can give.

Why PET

Steel-like strength, without the downsides.

Steel-like strength
Close to steel on tensile strength, at a fraction of the weight.
Holds tension
Keeps tension as loads settle or shrink, where PP would slacken.
Safe to handle
No rust, no sharp edges and no recoil, and it won't mark goods.
Weatherproof & recyclable
UV and moisture resistant, and recyclable.

Where it's used: pallets, timber, brick and block, metals and corrugated, wherever loads are heavy, rigid or sharp-edged.

Getting the spec right

We'd rather get it right up front.

Strap width is only the starting point. What you're strapping, how heavy it is, how it's packed and what machine you're running all decide which spec actually works. Too light a break load and the strap fails in transit; the wrong gauge jams the head. We'd rather ask the right questions up front than send you a coil that doesn't perform.

We'll run a trial with you
We normally come to site and run a trial coil with you, so we can review how it performs on your machine and product before you commit to volume. If you just want a like-for-like swap of what you run now, we can do that just as easily.
Tell us what you're strapping and we'll advise on spec.
